Start your reception entertainment checklist

Don't know where to begin? Start with this wedding entertainment checklist in the months before your ceremony to remember.

12 months:

• Start your entertainment search once you've selected your reception venue
• Sign a contract to secure your wedding date

6-8 Months:

• Choose first-dance, last-dance, father/daughter, mother/ song selections
• Make sure your band or DJ has the songs you want to dance to

3-6 months:

• Create an event timeline for your reception. Give a copy to your entertainers
• Have the reception site manager/event planner check in with the entertainers to be sure that technical requirements and set-up needs are covered

1-2 Weeks:

• Call your entertainers to verify the time and date of the wedding reception

Wedding Day:

• Entertainers are usually paid on the wedding day—bring a check!
