Who are your picks for the Oscars this year?

It's that time of year again when the best films of the year are recognized at the Oscars!  Who are your favorite picks? 

 

The nominees this year for best picture feature some really great motion pictures, but only one can take the cake! My vote is for Silver Linings Playbook!  There's something about Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence's performances that reel you in.  This feel-good movie is one you shouldn't miss!

 

Why not throw an outdoor bash featuring some past Oscar winning movies with Breezin Entertainment!  Our DJ will set up a blow up movie screen and entertain your guests all night long.  A Marlon Brando movie would be perfect for a 50's themed party that is sure to be remembered all year long!

St. Patrick's Day Party Flashbacks

Maybe you found out that green beer isn't always a good idea... Whether you're recovering from a fun night out or planning next year's celebration of all things Irish, take a look at some of our favorite themed cocktails and items to nosh on. They might make you decide to celebrate St. Patrick's week...

• Everybody’s Irish

• 2 oz. Irish Whiskey
• 1 tsp green creme de menthe
• 1 tsp. Green Chartreuse
• 1 green olive, if desired

Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

Irish Martini

• 3 oz. vodka
• .5 oz. dry vermouth
• .5 oz. Irish Whiskey
• 1 lemon twist

Korbel's Irish Kiss

• 4 oz. Korbel Brut Champagne
• 1 oz. Midori Melon Liquor
• Serve in green sugar-rimmed champagne flute

Irish Coffee

• A jigger of creme de cacao and 1/2 teaspoon of Frangelico added to the glass One 12- ounce wine glass, preheated
• 10 ounces medium roast brewed coffee
• 1 1/2 jiggers Bailey's Original Irish Cream  
• 1/4 Cup heavy cream, whipped until stiff peaks form
• Ground cinnamon  

• Bailey's Pot O' Mint

• 1.0 oz BaileysIrish Cream with a Hint of Mint Chocolate
• .5 oz. Amaretto

Peppermint Patty

• 1 part Kahlua
• 1 part peppermint Schnapps
• 1 part cream
